Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience to dive with Silent Divers?
No – beginners are welcome. We offer Discover Scuba Diving for first-timers, as well as snorkeling trips for non-divers.
How safe is diving with Silent Divers?
Extremely safe. All dives are led by certified PADI instructors, in small groups, with top-quality equipment and strict safety standards.
Can I get certified in Koh Samui?
Yes – we offer the full range of PADI courses, from Open Water to Instructor, with flexible scheduling and eLearning options.
What should I bring with me?
Just swimwear, a towel, and sunscreen. We provide all equipment, food, and drinks.
Do you provide hotel pickup?
Yes – free pickup is included from most areas in Koh Samui. We’ll confirm the exact time after 4pm the night before your adventure starts.
How long are the trips, and how many dives will I do?
A typical day trip includes 2 dives, with travel time kept short on our modern speedboats so you spend more time in the water.
Will I see whale sharks or other big marine life?
Whale shark encounters are never guaranteed, but Sail Rock and Koh Tao are among the best places in Thailand to see them. You’ll always see vibrant reefs and abundant tropical fish.
Can children or families join?
Yes – children from 8 years old can try diving with PADI programs, and younger kids are welcome on board as snorkelers. Families often dive or snorkel together.
What if I haven’t dived in a while?
No problem – we offer refresher sessions to rebuild your confidence before joining the dives.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsuitable, we’ll adjust the dive site, reschedule, or offer a refund/credit depending on the situation.
