Why Take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course?
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification opens the door to exciting new experiences and locations that many divers can only dream of exploring, it is focused on diving and building confidence through new experiences. The course consists of five Adventure Dives that introduce you to different types of diving and help you hone specific skills:
- Deep Dive: Learn to dive to depths of up to 30 meters (100 feet), expanding your knowledge of depth management and safety practices.
- Underwater Navigation Dive: Improve your underwater navigation skills using a compass and natural landmarks, enhancing your ability to explore confidently.
- Three Additional Adventure Dives: Choose from options like Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Underwater Photography, or Search and Recovery, allowing you to customize your training based on your interests.
Once you have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Course, you increase your maximum depth limit to 30 meters (100 feet), opening up a world of deeper dive sites and marine life encounters.
- For Junior Advanced Open Water Divers aged 12-14, are limited to a maximum depth of 21 meters (70 feet).
Requirements

- Be a certified PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
- Be in good physical health and comfortable in the water
